Role Title:Junior Bid WriterBusiness Area:CommercialAbout This Role:Job PurposeThe Junior Bid Writer is responsible for developing clear and memorable proposals that meet requirements of customers.This role is essential to the effectiveness of bids, while supporting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to craft compliant and persuasive responses to tenders.The position also requires building and maintaining strong working relationships with the bid team and colleagues in Sales, Sales Support, Product, and marketing to ensure smooth and timely submission of customer focuses, high scoring bids.Expectations From The Role:Key ResponsibilitiesNarrative development in alignment with win strategyCompletion of relevant research for each opportunityAnalysis of tenders including requirements of specific questionsDevelopment of storyboards that address requirements while highlighting the unique customer benefits of our solutionSupporting SMEs responding to tenders, before writing and improve early draftsReview for clarity, compliance and readabilityContribution to development of graphics and related captionsCollaborate with Presales, Sales, Service Delivery to address any gaps identified in reviewsContribute to a customer-focused, collaborative, and high-performing team environmentAssist with coordination of bids, reporting and administrative tasks as neededDevelop and maintain a library of standard responses, case studies, and project profiles.Work to tight deadlines while contributing to multiple tenders simultaneouslyAssist in post-submission clarifications and presentations when requiredContinuously improve bid content and contribute to win themes and strategy sessionsRequirements For A Successful Application:Knowledge and ExperienceEssential:Degree or equivalent qualification in journalism or English, and the ability to write with the reader's interest at heartInterest in learning how writing techniques support business growth and tender winningA thorough approach, diligent, with attention to detailKeen interest in business and competing to win salesCommitment to see projects through from start to finishGood interpersonal skills with ambition to develop a career in bid writing and business winning.Desired but not essential:A good understanding of technology and how it supports business performanceKnowledge of bid writingMembership of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) professional bodyIt would be great if you have some of these, but if not we'll help you with them.+The successful candidate should be self-motivated, hardworking, meticulous in theirapproach and have a keen interest in applying the latest industry developments.Behavioural Competencies:Positive attitude: Willingness to learn, go above and beyond to help your team colleagues, internal departments and most importantly our customers.You will be working closely with others in the team, so being a team player is important.Be able to adapt to changing circumstances and be open to new ideas and approaches.Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to present information clearly and effectively.Being able to adjust to changes in work processes and technology is crucial as our industry is constantly evolving.Others:Line ManagerHead of Sales Operations and IT Programmes
