Job Role:
The Assurance Team Member is a vital component of our power plant operations, ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee online and local induction processes for on-site contractors
* Audit and monitor safety protocols on site, supporting initiatives like Safe and Sound and SSOW
* Execute the role of Station Safety Officer
* Manage and supervise contractors, issue work permits, and perform Work Controller duties
* Conduct chemical and environmental sampling and analysis
* Maintain effective control of power station chemistry to ensure high availability, efficiency, reliability, and maintainability
* Ensure the power plant operates within discharge consents and site licenses issued by regulatory bodies
* Support management of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Permit
* Ensure compliance with corporate and relevant standards including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 55001
* Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
* Adapt to changing operational and business requirements, providing support to other areas of the business as needed
Requirements:
* Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a related field
* A qualification in safety, chemistry, or environmental science or equivalent work experience required
* Experience operating safety and environmental management systems
* Licenses and certifications in Environmental License Compliance
* Knowledge of plant chemistry, including laboratory analysis techniques
* Experience in contractor management and supervision
* Experience working in combined cycle power plants or similar process industries using steam and water cycles
