OverviewThe CSA Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for managing all civil, structural, and architectural aspects of a project during the pre-construction phase. This includes coordinating design development, supporting cost estimation, identifying construction risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition into the construction phase.Design ManagementReview and coordinate CSA design drawings and specifications.Liaise with design consultants to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with project requirements.Manage value engineering efforts to optimise CSA design.Pre-Construction PlanningLead CSA scope development and define work packages.Coordinate technical input for tendering and procurement.Support the development of pre-construction schedules and phasing plans.Budget & CostingProvide technical input to the estimating team for CSA packages.Identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate contractor bids for completeness and accuracy.Track and manage design changes that impact CSA cost.Identify design, site, and programme risks related to CSA scope and propose mitigation strategies.Conduct constructability reviews to ensure efficient buildability of CSA works.Stakeholder CoordinationInterface with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.Support procurement by reviewing and selecting CSA subcontractors and suppliers.Coordinate with MEP and other disciplines to ensure integration of design and site works.Handover to ConstructionEnsure all technical and design documentation is complete and issued for construction.Provide ongoing technical support as construction begins.Key Skills & QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related field.8+ years of experience in CSA or general construction, with at least 3 years in a pre-construction or design coordination role.Previous experience on large-scale projects (e.g. data centres, commercial, pharma, or infrastructure).Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward chartership.Experience working with international clients or in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, data centres).Knowledge of relevant Irish and EU building codes and regulations.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionProject ManagementIndustriesConstruction and Data Infrastructure and Analytics
