Job Title:Disaster Recovery SpecialistLocation:Dublin (Hybrid)Contract Type:Day Rate Contract (6-month Rolling Contracts)Strong Daily RateStart Date:ASAP (Two Interview Stage Process)Overview:PFH Technology is partnering directly with a Dublin-based client who seeks aDisaster Recovery Specialistto design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide disaster recovery strategies and frameworks that ensure the continuity of critical business operations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a comprehensive Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan covering critical systems, infrastructure, and networks.Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses (BIA) to determine critical ICT services and prioritize recovery needs.Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of DR environments and components.Plan and execute disaster recovery testing including Tabletop, Simulation, Parallel, and Full-Interruption exercises.Oversee continuous improvement of DR plans based on test results and operational changes.Collaborate with business and system owners to define Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) .Ensure DR frameworks comply with ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ITIL, and regulatory standards.Manage vendor relationships with DR service providers, ensuring effective service delivery.Maintain all DR documentation, playbooks, and technical recovery procedures.Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on disaster recovery, resilience, and IT continuity best practices.Required Skills & Experience:Proven experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) in complex enterprise environments.Strong understanding of current DR planning techniques, frameworks, and testing methodologies.Hands-on experience with DRP tools/software, backup & recovery systems, and offsite replication solutions .Experience planning for both natural disasters and cyber incidents (e.g., ransomware, data breaches, infrastructure outages).Familiarity with cloud recovery, hybrid DR architecture, and virtualized environments .Strong vendor management experience with external DR and hosting providers.Proven ability to develop risk-based DR standards, processes, and procedures .Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional teams.Industry & Regulatory Knowledge:Practical experience applying:ISO Information Security Management)ISO Business Continuity Management)ITIL v3/v4 FrameworksDRI International (DRII) or Business Continuity Institute (BCI) professional practicesFamiliarity with regulated environments such as financial services, government, or critical infrastructure.Education & Certifications:Education:Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Minimum 4 years of experience in a disaster recovery, IT resilience, or business continuity role.Preferred Certifications (One or More):ISC2: CISSPISACA: CISM, CRISC, CISA, CGEITISO 27001: Lead Auditor / Lead ImplementerISO 22301: Lead Implementer / Lead AuditorCompTIA: Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)Certified Business Continuity Management (CBCM) or equivalent BCI / DRII credentialPlease note no visa sponsorship for this rolePFH Technology, owned by Ricoh – a Japanese based global ICT company, is a premier provider of end-to-end ICT solutions and a managed services portfolio scaling from SMEs to large Enterprise organisations.
