There will also be the opportunity to assist the Operational Risk Designated Person in Ireland, on Operational Risk works for BIFMI.The individual will undertake regular risk monitoring and oversight assessments of BIFMI Ireland & BFM UK Funds. Providing ongoing support to the Head of Risk Ireland and the firm's risk team in their understanding of risk related matters. The successful candidate will likely have finance or business background, with a working knowledge of fund management, fund risk and financial markets. An understanding of Irish and European fund risk and operational risk regulatory requirements would be beneficial.They ideal candidate needs to regularly demonstrate strong written communication and report writing skills, with the ability to edit and enhance documents regarding fund risk oversight regulatory requirements. The candidate will be an organised individual, who is comfortable working on projects alone with limited supervision, is familiar with collating data in Excel, and compiling presentations in Powerpoint. In addition, the candidate will have strong verbal communication skills, and be capable of building effective relationships with the Global risk teams, support areas, and the wider Irish office. The role is a Dublin based role, with a requirement of 3 days per week in the Dublin office.Principal ResponsibilitiesKey tasksWorking with the Head of Risk Ireland and risk managers to help ensure that the investment risks are fully understood and appropriately monitored and reported.Carrying out risk analysis and reporting across the range of asset classes managed by Barings, both public and private funds. Monitoring fund redemptions, fund liquidity fund stress testing, and watch list assets monitoring.Ensuring risk management requirements of regulated funds are monitored across all relevant funds.Preparing regular updates on risk matters to the Head of Risk Ireland, wider risk team members, and submission of risk filings to the Central Bank of Ireland.Ensuring appropriate risk oversight for delegates and material outsourced service providers.Production of weekly/monthly/quarterly risk management reporting for a range of internal and external audiences from both a regulatory requirement and wider risk framework perspective.Training on relevant risk tools, risk analytics databases, support applications and services that interface with third-party enterprise-wide risk management products.Qualifications, Skills and experienceQualificationsEducated to degree level in a finance or business discipline, with potentially a few years experience in asset management, credit, or corporate finance environments.
