Position Summary
Senior Speech and Language Therapist – full‑time (1 WTE) or part‑time (two 0.5 WTE positions), based in CDNT 2 & CDNT 7 (Tallaght & Ballyboden).

Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 0.5WTE (17.5 hrs) per team or 35 hrs overall
Salary Scale: €62,072 – €73,477 pro rata per annum (subject to Long Service Increments and 2026 WRC agreement adjustments)
Annual Leave: 33 days pro‑rata per annum
Overview of the Post
Enable Ireland delivers children’s services under the Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model. As a senior member of the interdisciplinary team you will lead Speech and Language services, including assessment and intervention for children and adolescents enrolled on the CDNT across clinic, schools, preschools, special schools, children’s homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Speech and Language assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents with complex needs.
Work across multiple settings including clinic, schools and community.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to plan and review treatment goals.
Maintain statutory registration with CORU and confirm annual registration with Enable Ireland.
Maintain accurate clinical records and submit necessary reports.
Provide clinical supervision as required.
Engage with families and support them in managing communication needs.
Essential Criteria
Registered or eligible for registration on the Speech and Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
Minimum of three years full‑time (or aggregate equivalent) post‑qualification clinical experience.
Knowledge and ability to discharge duties at a high standard of suitability and professional ability.
Proof of statutory registration before employment contract.
Minimum of one year post‑qualification experience working with children aged 0–18 with disabilities/developmental delay and their families.
Valid driving licence for within the state with access to own transport.
Current eligibility to work in the state.
Desirable Criteria
Post‑graduate training and experience in Management of FEDS Disorders.
Relevant post‑graduate training specific to 0–18 years.
Experience in conducting Assessment of Need.
Experience or training in assessment and intervention of children with autism.
Experience and/or training in clinical supervision.
