Senior Platform Architect
Overview:
Infrastructure Design Services is a team of Technology Architects and Engineers responsible for analyzing and designing infrastructure frameworks to meet application, platform, or system needs in line with MasterCard's operational standards and principles.
We engage from the beginning of the analysis and design phase to collaborate with application teams and other critical stakeholders within Mastercard, ensuring that infrastructure and application architectures align with security, scalability, and availability standards.
The primary deliverable is the TAD (Technical Architecture Document), which details the infrastructure design for the application, platform, or system.
This role requires experience with internet fundamentals related to web servers, application servers, internet security, and other internet technologies.
The candidate will actively design and deliver internet infrastructure solutions that satisfy member, product, service, and backbone requirements.
Experience with Microsoft Visio for designing middleware infrastructure is preferred.
The candidate should be able to interface with users, application teams, and stakeholders to determine evolving needs and requirements, generate high-level system requirements, and ensure they are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined.
Role Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, application teams, and users to generate and validate high-level requirements.
* Create and maintain architectural products such as TADs, technical documents, logical flows, and models.
* Ensure all architectural products are current and relevant.
* Resolve internet architectural and operational issues affecting infrastructure and product performance globally.
* Research and evaluate new technologies for deployment within Mastercard’s internet infrastructure.
* Lead and manage regional projects, including planning, resource allocation, and implementation.
* Implement, manage, and support internet infrastructure components following current standards and best practices.
* Perform diagnostics, performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management.
* Monitor production systems to ensure stability and future compatibility.
