Hayfield Manor Hotel is looking for an experienced, efficient and well organised Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate is someone who has an excellent collaborative attitude, enjoys the fast pace and varied nature of working in maintenance and has the ability to stay calm and work as part of a team during particularly busy times.Key delivery areas:To work alongside the Maintenance team and Management team to ensure the hotel is maintained and fixing any errors that are needed, providing preventive maintenance and repairs of the hotel's common areas, kitchen, meeting spaces, restaurant, bar, fitness rooms, grounds and guestrooms including general repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing and kitchen and laundry equipment. Maintain employees and guest's health and safety ensuring that the hotel is functional and well maintained to a high standard.Task overview:Responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the hotel facilities, refurbishment of hotel facilities and services, maintaining the guest rooms, public space, back of the hotel areas, self-catering in good repair that may include plumbing, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, tiling, door and window repairsPerform scheduled and day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance and rectify any maintenance issues within the hotel in guest rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces self-catering as required to prolong the useful life of the building and equipmentExecute proactive approach to maintenance to ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard and to ensure the hotel has achieved the correct maintenance at all times.Further responsibilities may be added from time to time like ad hoc building repairs, assisting with the renovation of buildings etc.Investigation and resolution of process, equipment and control system issues.Boiler room and pool/plant room of the Leisure Centre must be maintained and serviced regularly, any repairs required ordered promptly.Be available to assist, support and liaise with contractors and equipment suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications as necessary and oversee work being carried out at the hotel and ensure that this is completed within an adequate timescale.Responds promptly and quickly to all maintenance calls and concerns that arise, find solutions and be capable of using own judgement where required to ensure issues are dealt with promptlyMaintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.Reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party and contractors for actionTo assist in the implementation of planned prevention maintenance system in operationAll other maintenance as required or directed by the managersRole Requirements:Have fluent English – written and spokenPreferably qualified / certified in one or more tradesWell-groomed and professionally presentable at all times.Have a minimum of 4-5 years' experience in a comparable rolePossess excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBe courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service and hygieneBe standards driven, a team player, flexiblePossess the ability to work under pressureHave excellent organisational skillsBe willing to work variable shifts (including weekends) periodicallyJob Types: Full-time, Contract, PermanentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: In person
