Job summary
This internship is for an Engineering Intern to contribute to the enhancement of NetApp's proprietary operating system, ONTAP. The intern will work closely with the development team,
understanding the existing ONTAP architecture. The primary responsibilities include designing and implementing features to improve simplicity and quality of the ONTAP. Having working knowledge of C, C++, and Python is important along with understanding of Operating system fundamentals.
Technical scope:
As an intern, you will work in one or more of the following areas:
* C, C++, and Python Development: Contribute in developing and optimizing system-level code.
* Unix Systems: You will get learning in understanding enterprise scale functionality.
* AI for Data Management: You will explore and integrate AI-based techniques to enhance data managementprocesses. This includes using AI to explore code functionality, improve existing tests and develop new features.
Job requirements
* Working efficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages.
* Basic knowledge of operating system kernel architecture.
* Understanding of basic debugging tools.
* Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and interest in their application in data management.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Your profile
* You must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree
* This internship opportunity is perfect for 3rd-year students seeking a 6-8 month internship as part of their degree program
* Happy to come into the Cork office a minimum of twice a week as part of our hybrid work culture
