Job Description:

The role of Social Care Manager involves overseeing the daily operations of a residential care setting, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained at all times. This includes managing staff, developing policies and procedures, and working closely with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* A minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in social care, with a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting.
* Four years' full-time work experience in a children's residential care setting post-qualification.
* Alternatively, a QQI Level 8 qualification in social care with three years' post-qualification work experience in a children's residential care setting.
* A full clean driver's license is preferred.
