Job Title: Operational Excellence Engineer
This role involves overseeing all maintenance operations, from routine inspections to emergency repairs. As an Operational Excellence Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that every piece of machinery is in top working condition. Your goal is to prevent costly downtime and ensure product quality through proper equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance schedules.
* Identify and develop team members for future progression.
* Drive a culture of compliance to all safety and quality regulations.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools including A3 problem solving.
* Achieve agreed engineering measures, minimising downtime and targets.
* Ensure process equipment are always fit for purpose.
* Develop plans to account for equipment obsolescence and strategic asset changeout.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
* Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Engineering.
* Preference is given to an Engineer with an electrical background with a working knowledge of industrial systems.
* Knowledge of Automated Manufacturing Environment with a good solid understanding of food processing equipment is essential.
* The ability to organise, motivate and understand people (Contractors, Equipment Suppliers and team members).
* Minimum 3 years managing a Team.
