A change agent who challenges, is curious, works with an agile, positive mindset, and has the ability to think differently and make it happen.ResponsibilitiesThe role reports to the Head of Group Insights Finance Director and will primarily be responsible for:Providing insight, expertise and analysis to help drive and shape the commercial performance of AstraZenecaBeing the authority for the Rare Disease business within the Group Finance team, acting as the link between the commercial unit and the Group function across all planning and reporting cyclesProactively identifying, collating and analysing a range of financial and non-financial data to develop a deep understanding of the drivers of performance and key emerging trends impacting our Rare Disease businessEnsuring that key planning assumptions and drivers of performance are understood, bringing constructive challenge to forecasts, planning assumptions and resource allocation based on credible insights, intelligence & analysisPreparing stretched but attainable targets that align to the Enterprise’s strategic and financial objectivesDeveloping an understanding of the 10 year Rare Disease Long Term Plan, including a view on pipeline assets and potentialHandling a range of other ad-hoc requests in support of the CEO and SET/Board reportingIdentifying and acting on continuous improvement and digitization opportunities in GFP&A processes, performance and reportingEducation, Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceEssential for the roleExperienced and analytical Finance professional with the ability to deliver succinct, high impact briefing material suitable for SET / Board level audiencesFinance/Business qualification e.g. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/MBAExcellent academic recordCurious, proactive and delivery focused, comfortable working in a dynamic, challenging environmentEnergetic, resilient and tenaciousExcellent influencing and communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and ability to drive bigger picture thinkingGood networking and relationship building skillsDesirable for the roleExperience of Commercial Finance and/or Group FP&A, preferably within a large pharmaceutical businessStrong systems skills; advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, knowledge of Hyperion Planning would also be advantageousDate Posted05-Jan-2026Closing Date01-Feb-2026Our mission is to build an inclusive and equitable environment.
