Reporting to the Global Design Engineering Lead, this role will focus on process safety design engineering to support our strategic capital projects and global initiatives. The role involves implementing process safety requirements effectively.Key challenges include establishing robust systems to meet safety standards, leveraging best practices, new technologies, and innovative design solutions, while coordinating with all stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesProvide Process Safety Engineering expertise, focusing on process design solutions for PGCS Beverage Concentrate Manufacturing Platforms.Ensure new and existing products/formulas meet PepsiCo standards and consumer expectations.Lead the design of strategic capital programs and initiatives.Develop innovative designs utilizing new technologies to add value.Leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions and other industries to achieve world-class performance.Offer technical guidance during project design, commissioning, and process qualification to ensure technological viability.Apply engineering principles, scientific methods, and process knowledge to develop technical solutions that create new opportunities and address existing needs.Promote sustainable engineering practices in plant design and operations.Qualifications5-10 years of experience in liquids and powders processing and plant manufacturing engineering.Extensive design and project management experience.Process safety expertise.Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, or related engineering discipline.Experience in the following areas is required:Application of technical standards (Machinery Safety, ATEX Directives, FM Global data sheets, etc.)Hygienic designProcess safety managementProject management from concept to installationBusiness case development and capital approvalDesign, procurement, installation, commissioning, and validationEnvironmental, health, and safety managementContractor and construction managementAdditional skills include team management, excellent communication, change management advocacy, and proven experience delivering safety aspects of large capital projects, with knowledge of FM Global standards and Machinery Safety & ATEX standards.
