Contract Type: Part-Time (30 hours per week / 4 days) Role Overview An experienced Procurement Specialist is sought to lead and strengthen the procurement function within a mission-driven organisation.
The role will ensure value for money, regulatory compliance, and best-practice procurement processes across the organisation.
This is a key role requiring strong technical procurement expertise, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to operate independently while advising colleagues across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities Lead the organisation's procurement strategy and annual procurement planning process.
Manage and oversee tendering processes, including supplier selection, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
Ensure compliant, end-to-end procurement processes in line with national and EU procurement regulations.
Maintain accurate and auditable procurement records, supporting internal and external audits as required.
Provide procurement advice and guidance to colleagues across the organisation, promoting best practice and compliance.
Support continuous improvement in procurement processes, systems, and supplier management.
Candidate Profile Essential Experience & Skills Minimum of 4 years' experience in a procurement role (experience in the public or not-for-profit sector).
A working knowledge of EU and national procurement rules, including OJEU and eTenders.
Proven experience in contract management, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
High level of attention to detail and strong compliance mindset.
Desirable Professional procurement accreditation (e.g. CIPS, ISM, or equivalent).
