The Opportunity
The Materials Controller is responsible for carrying out various tasks at a site or multiple customer sites within a region. These tasks include, but are not limited to, inventory management, metric review, purchasing, receiving, chemical tracking, storeroom management, product delivery, and general customer service activities. The role requires knowledge and application of SAP, VSR+, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Avantor is seeking a dynamic Material Controller to join our team in Sligo. In this multi-disciplinary role, you will support daily site inventory management operations, including stock movement, metric review, purchasing, receiving, storeroom management, product delivery, and customer service activities.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday with flexible start times (07:00-09:00). No evening shifts or weekend work.
The Team
You will be part of a small team of 2 within the Lab and Production Services department, supporting major pharmaceutical companies and laboratories worldwide in research and development within the Life Sciences industry.
What We’re Looking For
Education
Completed leaving certificate and 1-3 years of relevant experience in material handling, inventory replenishment, warehousing, or related fields.
Experience
* Strong communication skills for stakeholder management.
* Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is a plus.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Reliability, dependability, literacy, and numeracy.
* Self-motivated, energetic, precise with attention to detail.
* Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
* Familiarity with GMP and SAP is a plus.

* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing courteous and professional service.
* Manage receipt and distribution of deliveries, perform basic warehouse duties, and keep records.
* Follow customer-specific tasks as per SOW and SOPs.
* Verify goods, report discrepancies, and maintain organized administrative records.
