Head of Finance and Facilities (Principal Officer) 25 March 2026 The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is seeking a senior leader to take on the new permanent role of Head of Finance & Facilities. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional with strong strategic leadership capability to guide both finance and facilities services within a dynamic and rapidly expanding civil service office. As a key member of the Management Board, the successful candidate will contribute to organisation-wide strategic thinking, oversee major projects and initiatives, and support the growth and development of the ODPP. This new strategic leadership role sits within the Corporate Services Division, heading two well-established units led by experienced AP-level specialists. The Finance Unit manages the annual budget, payments systems, financial accounts and reporting, while the Facilities Unit leads on Accommodation, Facilities, Supplies, Security and Health & Safety, including expansion of the ODPPs accommodation footprint. With strong professional capacity across both areas, the Head of Finance & Facilities will focus on strategic leadership, continuous improvement, financial governance, risk management, and effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a proven leader who can communicate with impact, collaborate effectively across sectors, and lead cross-organisational projects to strengthen the delivery of legal services in the criminal justice system. Responsibilities include supporting the Accounting Officer in statutory functions, overseeing procurement governance, managing legal cost processes, ensuring optimum structures for outsourced services, and leading the development and management of accommodation and security strategies.
