Accounts Assistant

Office Based Role
My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.
Candidates will need to have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
Experience using Sage Line 50 would be a distinct advantage.
A good working knowledge of Excel is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts receivable
Bank reconciliations
VAT returns
Assist in month end management accounts preparation
Assist in preparation of year end audit files
Provide cover for other areas in the department
Assisting with day-to-day finance activities and general ad-hoc duties as they arise
The Person
Key Skills:
Experience in a similar role with 2 – 3 years accounts experience
Accounting technician qualification or equivalent desirable but not essential.
Strong IT skills including Sage 50 Accounts, Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
Good organisational and time management skills.
Work well both in a team and under one's own initiative.
Attention to detail & ability to cope with a fast-paced working environment.
Flexible and willing to work to meet deadlines.
