Emeis Ireland are a group 25 Nursing homes and Homecare Business throughtout Ireland. We currently has a vacancy for an IT Manager to join the group. The position is based in the HQ in Citywest Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional who will manage day to day operations and work closely with the Head of IT.Job Title: IT ManagerReporting to: Head of ITPrimary Purpose of Job: The IT Manager is responsible for the reliable, secure and compliant delivery of IT services across the organisation. This includes infrastructure, networks, end-user computing, cybersecurity, vendor management and IT service delivery. IT Operations & InfrastructureManage and maintain IT infrastructure including: Networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), Servers and cloud platforms, End-user devices (PCs, laptops, tablets, mobiles)Ensure high availability, performance and resilience of systemsOversee backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity arrangementsManage system upgrades, patches and lifecycle replacementMaintain IT documentation, policies, and asset registersOptimise processes to industry best practice2. Cybersecurity & ComplianceImplement and enforce IT security best practices in coordination with Group Security Operations Team SOCManage patching, vulnerability remediation and access controlsSupport compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, healthcare standards)Respond to and investigate security incidents3. IT Service ManagementLead the IT Service Desk function (internal & 3rd Party)Ensure effective incident, problem and change managementDefine and monitor service levels (SLAs and KPIs)Ensure timely support to clinical and non-clinical staffDrive continuous service improvement4. Cloud & Modern WorkplaceManage cloud platforms (Azure / MS365)Identity management (AD, Azure AD, Entra ID)Endpoint management (Intune, MDM, device security)Support hybrid environments5. Leadership & CollaborationManage junior engineers and 3rd party support desk teamsAct as a trusted advisor to managers and clinical leadersPromote a culture of service excellence and security awarenessLead technical projects and initiativesWork closely with vendors, MSPs and internal stakeholdersContribute to IT strategy, roadmap planning and continuous service improvementQualifications & Experience RequiredEssentialStrong experience managing IT infrastructure and operationsNetwork support experience which includes Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, Switches and CablingKnowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practicesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder managementRelevant IT qualifications and ongoing continuing developmentDemonstrable relevant work experienceCloud experience (Azure preferred) – cloud first strategyManagement of cloud-based security services (MDM, Email Security, Web protection)Previous experience in IT Servicedesk including supervision of IT Servicedesk ticketing system and liaising with 3rd party supportDesirable (currently have or willing to develop)Experience in healthcare, residential care, or community servicesITIL or IT service management experienceCloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, M365)Microsoft and Cisco Certifications a distinct advantageExperience supporting clinical systems and devicesKnowledge of GDPR and health data requirementsExperience in regulated environments (healthcare, public sector or similar)Vendor and contract management experienceSecurity awareness (ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks)Personal Characteristics, Knowledge & SkillsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to work harmoniously with people at all levels within the organisationCustomer service oriented and professional demeanourAbility to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, both formally and informally. Strong skills in compiling documentation.
