Meetings & Events Sales Manager

About the Role:

As Meetings & Events Sales Manager, you will report to the Area Director of Sales and will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strategic growth, and high-performance standards while fostering a positive work environment and driving financial success.


Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and support a team of two executives to meet business needs.
* Collaborate with the Area Director of Sales to develop proactive sales strategies and identify new opportunities aligned with business objectives.
* Work closely with Account Management and Business Development teams to nurture existing relationships and secure new business opportunities.
* Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to maximize group and residential business.
* Promote awareness and drive conversion of corporate conferences, meetings, weddings, and special events.
* Collaborate with both proactive and reactive sales teams to achieve budgeted meetings and events revenue on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Participate in sales activities, including telesales, client visits, corporate entertaining, familiarization trips, social events, and overseas sales trips as required.
* Identify and manage new market opportunities in line with the company’s strategic direction.
* Build relationships with key partners, industry bodies, and destination management companies to develop new meeting and group opportunities.
* Convert prospects into confirmed bookings and maximize revenue potential through effective upselling.
* Contribute ideas and initiatives to support quarterly and annual sales and marketing plans.
* Conduct professional site inspections for potential clients.


Requirements:

* 2–3 years of experience in a sales or meetings & events role, ideally within a hotel or customer-focused environment.
* A creative and outgoing personality with strong relationship-building skills.
* Proven experience in team management and leadership.
* Target-driven, results-oriented, and passionate about sales.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear client and internal reports.
* Confident, ambitious, and proactive approach to work.
* Experience using hotel sales systems (e.g., Opera) is an advantage but not essential.
