Job Title: Payroll and Accounts Technician
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Payroll and Accounts Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing payroll, managing supplier invoices, bank reconciliation, debtors, and creditors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing payroll for weekly paid employees and related support activities
* Dealing with queries in relation to payroll and the employee clocking system
* Timely processing of supplier invoices on a monthly basis and reconciliation
* Bank reconciliation
* Dealing with and resolving supplier account queries
* Assisting with tender preparation
* Managing debtors and creditors
* Performing ad hoc accounting and administration tasks as required
* RCT payments
* VAT returns
Requirements:
* The accounting technician qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential
* Minimum 3-4 years' experience working in accounts, preferably in construction
* Solid financial fundamentals
* Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Excellent organisational and planning skills with attention to detail
* Ambitious, energetic, and motivated individual
Working Arrangements:
This role offers a flexible hybrid approach, with the option to work from home 3-4 days per week and office presence based on candidate preference or project requirements.
