Senior Quality Assurance Scientist - Post **** Dublin(NBC) Post **** Senior Quality Assurance Scientist DEPARTMENT - RCI Full Time Temporary Fixed Term (1 Year) National Blood Centre, Dublin 8 The IBTS is currently recruiting a fulltime, temporary, Senior Quality Assurance Scientist based in the Red Cell Immunohematology Laboratory, National Blood Centre.
The successful candidate will actively manage the QMS within the RCI laboratory including, the investigation, review and management of Incident Reports, the review and management of Change Orders and Change Controls, participate in writing and updating laboratory documentation as determined by the laboratory management team.
The candidate will also participate in leading a team of skilled staff, creating and promoting healthy working relationships.
Essential Criteria Education/Experience Master of Science (MSc) in a relevant biological science; or equivalent.
Experience working in a biological, medical or quality control laboratory in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
Possess 2 at least years quality experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good computer skills Knowledge / experience of working in a GMP environment.
Leadership and training skills Knowledge of ISO accreditation.
Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of red cell immunohematology including complex red cell antibody investigation, resolution of blood group anomalies and compatibility testing would be beneficial but not essential.
Problem solving ability and ability to make rational calm decisions under pressure.
High level of commitment to tasks undertaken in quality environment Must demonstrate flexibility to work in a demand driven environment, enthusiasm, adaptability and a willingness to co-operate The salary scale attached to the post is the Senior Laboratory Scientist salary scale €61,218 to €81,868 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum.
Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience.
