Lead Youth Information Specialist
This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to spearhead the development and delivery of a comprehensive youth information service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing information hubs, overseeing outreach and digital services, and delivering high-quality support to young people across Kerry and parts of western Cork.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships. They will also have a proven track record of managing teams and youth-centred programmes, as well as experience in fulfilling Service Level Agreements on behalf of a charitable organisation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting the participation of young people in programme design, delivery, and evaluation, and ensuring that all departmental activities comply with relevant funding agreements and organisational policies. They will also contribute to KCYS strategic planning and implementation, supporting organisational development through active participation on the Senior Management Team and relevant working groups.
In terms of required qualifications and experience, the successful candidate will hold a relevant degree in youth work, community work, family support, social care, social work, education, or other relevant discipline. They will also have a proven track record of digital youth work, knowledge of Eurodesk/ERYICA frameworks, and experience working with marginalised or rural youth populations.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, subject to funding, with a salary band of €41,955 - €47,909 pro rata per annum. The nature of this post requires flexibility in working hours to cover operational times, including frequent evening and weekend work. Travel within Ireland and Europe may be required to support Eurodesk, ERYICA, and Council of Europe activities and training.
