**About the Role:**
We are seeking a driven and experienced individual to fill the Trainee Manager position. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of our store while gaining valuable experience in various departments.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support the management team in all aspects of store operations
* Gain detailed knowledge and expertise in multiple departments throughout the store
* Develop and monitor sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Actively participate in training and development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge
* Maintain high standards of merchandise presentation and visual merchandising throughout the store
* Manage assigned departments and engage with new business initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications:
* 1 year's experience in the retail industry, preferably in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
* Experience balancing cash and operating tills
* Knowledge of fresh food handling and preparation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good delegation and leadership skills
* Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and commercial awareness
* Passion for the grocery retail sector
