Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations. In this full-time, on-site role located in Kildare, the Production Manager will plan and coordinate production schedules, ensure efficient use of resources, and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Own the production schedule end-to-end — planning, sequencing, and updating daily to reflect reality
Assign the right people to the right jobs at the right time, ensuring skills are matched to tasks
Drive factory flow — identify and eliminate bottlenecks, reduce idle time, and maximise throughput
Lead the daily morning production meeting, keeping the team focused and blockers resolved fast
Track time-and-motion data on tank builds to build accurate job costing and planning benchmarks
Monitor job progress against drawing specifications and delivery commitments
Coordinate with procurement and engineering to ensure materials and drawings are ready before builds start
Maintain a safe, organised, and well‑run workshop at all times
Identify process gaps and propose improvements — we want someone who can make the system better
Support recruitment and onboarding of new production staff as the team grows
What We're Looking For
Proven background in a manufacturing or fabrication environment — tanks, vessels, structural steel, or similar
Strong experience in production scheduling and workforce planning
Natural leader who earns respect on the floor — firm but fair, calm under pressure
Highly organised with a hands‑on approach — not a desk‑only manager
Comfortable with digital tools (scheduling software, Notion, Excel, or similar) for tracking and reporting
Excellent communication skills — able to brief a team clearly and escalate issues to management efficiently
A process‑first mindset: you look for systemic fixes, not quick patches
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
Experience working with engineering drawings and weld specifications
Background in stainless steel or pressure vessel fabrication
Experience implementing or improving production tracking systems
