Senior Power Electronics Engineer
A fantastic client of mine in the aerospace industry is looking to expand their team and bring in an expert in power electronics/Battery management system area. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a forward-thinking engineering company that is looking to push their product further.
This role will be working directly with the head of hardware focusing on the design and development of all battery and power-related tech throughout the product. You will be leading the design and validation of all battery components and maintaining these systems through to end of life. Working alongside electronic and mechanical teams to ensure batteries and power systems are viable within the product and engaging with suppliers to ensure the best components are in use.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Battery Management System (BMS) Design: Develop SOC/SOH monitoring, balancing, protection, and thermal control for lithium-ion batteries.
* Lithium-Ion Chemistries Expertise: Possess extensive knowledge of NMC, LCO, LiPo chemistries and their applications.
* Energy Modeling and Simulation: Utilize MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools for energy modeling and simulation.
* Battery Characterization Test Procedures Development and Automation: Develop and automate test procedures for battery characterization.
