Role Overview
As a Civil Engineer on this project, you will play a key role in the planning, execution, and completion of critical road infrastructure works.
You will support the site and project management team to ensure that all works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of road improvement works, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and supervision of daily activities.
Interpret drawings, specifications, and construction details.
Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Monitor progress and prepare reports for senior engineers and project managers.
Resolve technical issues on-site and provide innovative engineering solutions.
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
25 years experience in a similar civil engineering role, preferably with road or infrastructure projects.
Good knowledge of current standards and regulations in civil engineering and roadworks.
Experience with AutoCAD or other relevant design software is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Full clean drivers license.
Desirable
Familiarity with Irish construction standards and road authority requirements.
Experience working on public works contracts or with local authorities.
