The Colas Group operates internationally in all aspects of transport infrastructure.
As part of the global organisation, Colas Ireland is primarily involved the distribution of bitumen products, emulsion and emulsifier manufacturing, and the provision of specialist road maintenance services on the national, regional and local road network.
In Ireland Colas operates from 14 locations across the island of Ireland.
MissionThe Quality/Environmental Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of our existing Quality and Environmental systems.
This currently includes ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental,45001 Safety, 50001 Energy Management and our current target to achieve 55001 Asset Management.
CJV currently manage all these under our Integrated Management System (IMS).
The Quality/Environment and Performance Manager is responsible for monthly reporting and the preparation of project quality packs, as builts, the management and recording of all testing and inspection requirements.
Project quality packs are required for pavement schemes, gantry installation projects, ducting projects, works on structures and many more.
The Environmental requirement has become a key driver in our organisation with multiple sustainability initiatives being implemented from transport decarbonisation, depot solar panel and LED projects, and Biodiversity trials.
A Sustainability Champion will assist you on these elements.
Main ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain CJV's Integrated Management System (IMS)Work closely with the Safety Manager and all other departments to ensure that all processes are working and recording in accordance with our IMSManage the maintenance of current and future ISO standardsWork to broaden our systems for example to achieve 55001 Asset Management, and separately Carbon Ladder CertificationWork with the wider Management team to ensure that all Quality, Environmental and Energy Management requirements are incorporated into the decision-making processesWorking with the wider Management team, prepare and submit Monthly Reports to the ClientControl all data gathering processes to facilitate the preparation of the Monthly ReportPrepare and submit Yearly ReportsControl the preparation and storage of all data, correspondence, and documentationInitiate the preparation of safety, quality and design documentation for all activities and ensure it is submitted to Client under certification processCarry out reviews of Plans, Procedures, RAMs etc when requiredEnsure management reviews are carried out at regular intervals and that objectives, targets, risks are measured and updated each yearWork with Operations Manager to develop measuring tools for performance of Projects, Processes etcProfileExperience Experience in road network maintenance contracts or projects with similar services and activities- to this specific contractManager's experience in Quality SystemsExperience of Data Management and ControlsExperience of Environmental Controls and systemsSkills Strong collaboration and teamwork skillsStrong work ethicReliable and result orientedHighly motivatedExcellent leadership skillsAbility to effectively plan & manage staffingQualifications A level eight qualification recognised by the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETEC) in Civil Engineering, or other equivalent professional qualificationMembership of recognised industry body (Engineers Ireland, Institute of Asphalt Technology, Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation etc)Screen readers cannot read the following searchable map.Provider
