Site Engineer Role Overview The Site Engineer will support the construction management team by overseeing and coordinating on-site activities related to the structural and building elements of construction projects. The role involves ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with quality standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out setting out, levelling, and on-site quality checks, including monitoring concrete quality through cube testing, slump tests, and related procedures. Inspect formwork, reinforcement, and dimensional accuracy prior to concrete pours, and maintain accurate material tracking and reconciliation records. Maintain detailed site documentation, including daily records of activities, site diaries, and uploading relevant information to the document management system. Supervise direct labour and subcontractors involved in various phases of the project, ensuring works are completed to specification and programme. Ensure full compliance with all health and safety, environmental, quality, and site-specific policies and procedures. Candidate Requirements A relevant engineering qualification with approximately 23 years experience working with a main building contractor. Strong IT capability and practical experience using surveying instruments and site equipment. A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
