A long-established and growing organisation operating across multiple sectors including electrical contracting, healthcare, and property development is seeking a driven Financial Controller to join their leadership team. With continued expansion across Ireland and the UK, this is a key opportunity to influence financial strategy and operational performance.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a team of four and oversee all aspects of group financial operations. Responsibilities include managing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting across multiple divisions. You will maintain strong financial controls, support cash flow and funding activities, and partner with operational teams to analyse job profitability and margin performance. The role also involves preparing board packs, KPI reports, and liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least five years' post-qualification experience, ideally in a group or multi-entity environment. Experience in construction, property development, or contracting sectors is preferred. Strong technical accounting skills, leadership ability, andmercial acumen are essential, along with proficiency in financial systems and Excel.
