Our client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a key executive leadership role partnering with the Managing Director to drive the Group’s financial strategy, performance, and long-term growth across Ireland and the UK.This role is suited to a commercially focused finance leader who can operate at both a strategic and operational level within a scaling business. The CFO will play a central role in supporting the Group’s next phase of development, including both acquisition-led and organic growth, while also ensuring strong financial control, reporting, and operational discipline.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & GrowthPartner with the Managing Director to define and deliver the Group’s strategic planSupport and lead financial input into acquisition opportunities (M&A), including evaluation, due diligence, structuring, and integrationProvide financial insight into organic growth initiatives, including pricing, investment decisions, and expansion plansContribute to Board-level strategic discussions and decision-makingLead the Group’s funding strategy, banking relationships, and capital structureDevelop long-term financial plans and scenario modellingDrive strong cash flow management and working capital performanceCommercial & Operational PartnershipAct as a senior commercial partner across the business, working closely with Operations and the Sales DirectorSupport key commercial decisions including pricing, contracts, and major tendersDrive profitability improvement and margin performanceFinance Function Leadership (Hands-On Requirement)Provide leadership and direction to the finance function across Ireland and the UKEnsure delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecastingMaintain strong financial controls, compliance, and governance standardsOperate in a hands-on capacity across financial reporting and finance operations where required, particularly in a scaling or evolving environmentBuild and develop a high-performing finance team aligned to the needs of the businessEnsure strong financial governance and compliance across both jurisdictionsOversee audit processes and regulatory requirementsMaintain robust financial controls and risk management frameworksBoard & Stakeholder ManagementPrepare and present financial insights and performance updates to the BoardManage relationships with external stakeholders including banks, advisors, and potential investorsSupport future investment, refinancing, or strategic transactionsCandidate ProfileExperienceProven experience at CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leadership level within a growing or multi-entity businessDemonstrated involvement in M&A, corporate finance, or transaction-led growthStrong background in financial control, reporting, and operational financeExperience operating across multiple jurisdictions (Ireland & UK desirable)Skills & CapabilitiesStrong commercial and strategic acumenAbility to operate at both Board and operational levelStrong financial modelling and analytical capabilityHands-on approach with attention to detailEffective communicator and influencer at senior levelProven leadership and team development skillsPersonal AttributesGrowth-oriented and commercially focusedHands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic environmentHigh level of integrity and professionalism
