We look for students who are ready to enter the professional world; diverse individuals with inquisitive minds and a desire to challenge themselves.You will work alongside skilled professionals as part of multi-disciplinary design teams and contribute to real projects in the built environment. You will also participate in learning sessions with technical experts, work on local projects, and engage in social events.Our team is involved in sectors including healthcare, science & industry, technology, commercial, education, and public buildings. Current projects include the New Surgical Hubs at Cork, Limerick, and Waterford; the New Children’s Hospital; the National Maternity Hospital; hyperscale data centres; Project Opera; UCD Teaching and Learning Building; TCD E3 Learning Foundry; and the Crawford Art Gallery redevelopment.As an Electrical Engineer at Arup, you will:Work closely with experienced electrical engineers and BIM technicians.Design and calculate electrical services, including distribution, cabling, small power, lighting, emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, ICT, security, and earthing systems.Use Revit and Navisworks in a BIM environment to prepare coordinated 3D design models.Learn and utilize design software such as Revit, Amtech, Dialux, and Elevate.Implement QA procedures for deliverables and ensure H&S compliance.Collaborate effectively with staff from other disciplines.Communicate effectively within a team environment.Does this role inspire you?We are looking for students currently studying Electrical Engineering or Electrical Services Engineering at bachelor’s or master’s level.Why Arup?At Arup, we invest in our people and support their growth from day one.
