Social Care Worker – Residential Services (Galway)
Our Client in Galway are seeking a committed and qualified Social Care Worker (CORU Registered) to join their team and play an active role in supporting individuals to live meaningful, self‑directed lives.
About the Service
The organisation delivers a broad range of high‑quality supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism throughout Galway City and County. These include residential and day services, short breaks, community programmes, rehabilitative training and access to multi‑disciplinary supports.
Responsibilities
Provide residential and respite support to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Deliver care in line with organisational policies, procedures, guidelines and the service’s Safety Statement.
Work as part of a dedicated staff team.
Essential Requirements
Recognised Level 7 (minimum) degree in Applied Social Studies or a related discipline.
CORU registration.
Previous experience supporting individuals with an intellectual disability or in a similar setting.
Full, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Motivated, enthusiastic and energetic approach to work.
Strong commitment to advocating for the rights and needs of the people we support.
