Join Our Team as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Sensational Kids Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families? Sensational Kids, an esteemed social enterprise in Ireland, is seeking a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Child Development Centre in Kildare Town About Sensational Kids: Sensational Kids is an acclaimed social enterprise committed to enriching the lives of children and families. As Irelands leading non-profit clinic for children with neurodevelopmental needs, we operate Child Development Centres in key locations including Kildare, Mayo, Monaghan, and West Cork. Our centres provide a comprehensive range of therapeutic services catering to children of diverse abilities. About Sensational Kids Child Development Centre in Kildare Town By joining this child development centre, you will join a small friendly team. You will be supported and work closely with an experienced clinical administrator who looks after diary scheduling, payments and other admin supports such as scanning, filing and shredding. There is ample free onsite parking. Our bespoke therapy facility includes three sensory motor gyms, admin space, an onsite kitchen for break times and waitng room spaces for parents. Occupational Therapist Responsibilities: Deliver family-centred therapy, conducting occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents through personalised and group sessions, primarily within clinic settings and occasionally in the community. Provide onsite support and supervision to basic grade Occupational Therapists Provide occasional teletherapy services to children and families when appropriate. Collaborate effectively within the Occupational Therapy and Multidisciplinary teams to plan, deliver, and enhance professional services. Support and advise colleagues within the clinical team to ensure optimal service delivery. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other service-related gatherings. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation utilising computerised clinical records systems. Assist in organising parent/teacher training sessions and provide guidance. Ensure the upkeep and safety of therapy rooms and equipment. Engage in continuous professional development activities and contribute to CPD opportunities. Contribute to service development and occasional training workshops for parents and educators. Support promotional activities for service enhancement and media communications. Undertake any other reasonable duties associated with the role of a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. Report directly to the Clinical Services Manager. Qualifications & Experience: Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy, validated for practice in Ireland. Ideally, a minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience in paediatric occupational therapy, including working with children with additional needs such as neurodiverse conditions, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, and Down syndrome. Ayres Sensory Integrationtraining desirable ADOS/ADIR training desirable but not essential Accredited membership with the AOTI and CORU Registration are essential. Garda Vetting clearance and satisfactory references are required. Access to own car for travel purposes, including school visits. Demonstrated passion for paediatric occupational therapy with a commitment to ongoing learning and development. Hours: Full-time positions: 35-hour working week with flexible scheduling options. Part-time positions are also available. We are open to considering applications for both full or part-time positions for this post.
