Morgan McKinley have been exclusively retained by an exciting business in the Energy sector who are an energy project developer and asset owner. The company is actively developing an ambitious pipeline of energy projects which support the energy transition to a lower carbon intensity electrical system. The company is in growth mode and is seeking a senior finance professional to join its team to manage and develop financial and accounting processes and to participate in energy project developments.
Responsibilities:
* Structuring and negotiation of transactions related to project development and project financing.
* General support on financing of projects and interface with partner financial teams, funding banks etc.
* Participate in energy project development and company management team
* Tracking of asset performance, corresponding with partner finance departments
* Identification of tax efficiency opportunities
* Provide technical input to financial modelling of projects under development
* Management of budgeting process and cashflow
* Development and structuring of group companies and transactions relating to project development
* Provide technical input to financial modelling of projects under development
Qualifications and experience:
* Chartered / Certified Accountant with 10 years plus post qualification experience with industry relevant roles
* Experience working with banks and lending institutes when selling completed projects and assets
* Experience in Energy or related field, including structuring and finance related to project development activity.
* Corporate Finance experience
* Strong experience working across multiple business units
* Strong commitment to learning and development, enthusiastic and willingness to learn.
* Can do attitude with acute attention to detail coupled with a continuous process improvement mindset.
