Senior Nurse Leader Opportunity
Deliver high-quality patient care and lead by example to set standards of excellence in a dynamic nursing home environment.
Develop and implement effective strategies to drive improvement in clinical practice, medication management, and staff supervision.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve seamless care delivery and maintain the highest standards of nursing and social care.
Clinical Leadership
Ensure best practices in clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement are consistently applied across the nursing home.
Supervise medication administration, ordering, and inventory management while maintaining accurate records and audits.
Work closely with GPs and pharmacies to address medication reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Staff Development & Training
Support the development of nursing and care staff through training and performance appraisals, working collaboratively with the Director of Nursing.
Implement and monitor the effectiveness of the Named Nurse and Named Care Assistant system, promoting a culture of accountability and responsibility.
Identify training needs and deliver in-house training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
Person-Centred Care
Interact daily with residents and families, providing exceptional service and supporting their unique needs and preferences.
Handle complaints promptly and effectively, resolving issues at the point of contact while upholding the nursing home's commitment to excellence.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
A BSc in General Nursing or equivalent is required, along with previous managerial experience or training.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
The ideal candidate will possess sound decision-making ability, self-motivation, and a results-driven approach.
Team-focused with excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
