We are seeking aSenior Mechanical Design Engineerto lead projects, mentor engineers, and deliver best-in-class building services solutions. This position is based in Cork, and offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects acrosscommercial offices, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developmentsthroughout Ireland and internationally.Notable Projects:Mixed-use development in Dublin : A large-scale project featuring residential, commercial, and retail spaces, incorporating sustainable design principles and advanced building services systems.Healthcare facility in Cork: A state-of-the-art medical centre designed to meet the latest healthcare standards, with a focus on energy efficiency and patient comfort.Educational campus in Galway : A modern campus development providing cutting-edge facilities for students and staff, with integrated renewable energy solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the full mechanical design process across projects of varying scale.Ensure quality control, technical excellence, and cost management across multiple offices.Manage and coordinate project teams, fostering effective cross-discipline collaboration.Represent the company at client meetings, design workshops, site visits, and surveys.Support alignment and knowledge sharing between regional offices and design teams.Education & ExperienceDegree in Mechanical Engineering.6+ years' experience in a building services consultancy environment.Strong knowledge of HVAC, heating, water services, fuel, drainage, and BMS systems.Experience in thermal modelling, energy assessments, and BIM advantageous.Sound understanding of Irish Building Regulations (Parts B, F, G, and L).Chartered Engineer status (or working toward chartership) preferred.Skills & AttributesProven ability to deliver detailed designs through all project stages.Excellent project leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.Strong commercial awareness with a client-focused, solutions-driven mindset.Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.Collaborative and proactive, with a good understanding of multidisciplinary design.Benefits€65K – €75K salary (depending on experience).Paid overtime / flexitime options.Annual performance bonus and salary review.Pension scheme and death-in-service benefit.Wellbeing allowance and life balance days.Educational and professional development support.Additional week's paid leave after five years' service.If you're aSenior Mechanical Engineerpassionate aboutbuilding performance, energy efficiency, andintegrated design, send your CV toGrace Birchor call for a confidential discussion.
