We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our Engineering and Projects team at Emerson, working closely with the Engineering Manager.
This role is crucial in delivering Life Science projects for our customers, overseeing a team of engineers to ensure automation projects meet our high standards.
You will be responsible for owning the technical delivery of a portfolio of projects related to Delta V products, collaborating with the broader team to provide technical support for proposals and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing leadership to the project team of local and remote engineers, leading projects to a high technical standard and within budget.
* Ensuring all team members are provided with relevant information to effectively deliver, and that engineering activities are undertaken in accordance with Emerson's quality control.
* Supporting project managers in developing project schedules and providing support for project resource requirements, identifying and communicating areas of risk.
* Taking ownership of engineering activities on allocated work, proactively applying methodologies, resources, and techniques for cost efficiency while maintaining schedule and quality standards.
* Actively contributing to bid activities to ensure customer requirements are fully understood, and innovative solutions are proposed.
* Facilitating an inclusive environment for team members, ensuring high performance on projects and supporting personal development objectives.
* Supporting projects, understanding, and managing customer expectations.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making an impact, excited about new projects, and continuously strives to achieve new goals. You should be comfortable questioning the status quo, proposing creative solutions, and able to work independently within defined timelines.
The ideal candidate will have:
* An engineering, process, or chemical degree or equivalent.
* Years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of managing process automation projects, including system design, implementation, and factory/site acceptance test phases.
* Ability to work independently and within defined timelines.
* Extensive experience with direct customer contact and managing expectations.
* Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written); excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Leadership experience and ability to lead a technical team.
* Strong background in delivering and implementing DeltaV Batch Automation, specifically in the Life Science sector.
