General:Job description and person specificationJob Holder: VacancyJobTitle: Reporting Accountant – BIDAC (FTC)Division: FinanceReportsTo: As per Beazley's organizational chartKeyRelationships: Beazley finance team, Beazley actuarial team, Beazley operations team, external audit, internal audit and external advisors.JobSummary: To support the Beazley Insurance dac ('BIDAC') FP&A Manager with key internal and external reporting requirements.Key Responsibilities:Preparation of key internal management information for onward submission to the relevant internal committees and governance forums.Assisting where required the group regulatory reporting team and actuaries with key inputs into solvency II reporting.Preparation of various regulatory and other returns to support the branches as required.Liaising with the Beazley group tax team in respect of branch level tax considerations and reporting.Input in planning process and key planning assumptions as required.Analytical review of company and branch level performance versus plan.Engage with external auditors as required to support the audit processes for BIDAC, covering head office reporting in Dublin and branch level audit activity throughout Europe.Work with key stakeholders such as external reporting team and credit control team to address internal and external audit points in a timely manner.Assisting in preparation of statutory accounts as required.Ad hoc reporting including co-ordination and collection of information to prepare internal reports.Liaise with Credit Control, Treasury Team, Operations and other Finance Teams as appropriate.Support the BIDAC Head of Finance and BIDAC FP&A Manager with project and change activity as requiredGeneralIt is important that within all your interactions both internally and externally you adhere Beazley's core values - Being Bold, Striving for Better, and Doing the Right Thing as they contribute to an internal environment of teamwork and promote a positive brand image and experience to our external customers." These may include membership of any Beazley committees or working groupsPersonal Specification:Education and QualificationsUniversity degree in finance/ business/ accounting preferredStudying towards professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CIMA, ACA or newly qualified accountantSkills and AbilitiesComputer skills – Excel/MS OfficeGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritiseMust be able to work as part of a teamKnowledge and ExperienceKnowledge of insurance company accounting is preferredAptitude and DispositionSelf-motivated, flexible and enthusiasticProactive, self-starter, seeks continuous improvementProfessional approach to successfully interact with senior management/ colleagues/ external suppliersDiplomaticCompetenciesTeamworkTechnical competence and expertiseAccuracyAnalytical thinking/ information seekingSpeed and qualityCommunicationEnergyIntegrityQuick learnerStrong organisational skills
