LABORATORY TECHNICIANWe are a global Ibex 35 group where we develop innovative, high-value concession, engineering and service projects in the more than 20 countries where we operate.At Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructure, we continue to move forward with enthusiasm on our #RumboSacyr journey, and we want to have committed people who contribute to generating a positive impact in the places where we operate.We are currently looking to hire a Laboratory Technician for a project in Dublin who shares our commitment to quality, responsibility and excellent service.Job duties and responsibilities:Sampling and testingCollect samples of materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, soils and asphalts at different stages of the process.Performing laboratory tests to determine the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of materials (e.g. strength, settlement, particle size, etc.).Quality control:Ensuring that materials comply with the required regulations and technical specifications.Recording test results and analysing possible deviations.Production monitoring:Supervise the production process at the plant, ensuring that the equipment is functioning correctly.Control concrete mixes, ensuring that the proportions comply with technical specifications.Laboratory and equipment maintenance:Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment in good condition.Manage the inventory of reagents, tools, and materials needed for testing.Documentation and reports:Prepare technical reports on test results.Properly file records for future audits and consultations.Regulatory compliance:Ensure that quality control practices comply with local and international standards.Apply safety and occupational risk prevention criteria when handling equipment and materials.Plant operation support:Collaborate with the production team to adjust mixing formulas based on quality observations.Participate in troubleshooting issues related to production or material performance.We are looking for a candidate with the following requirements and skills:Minimum education: A-levels, intermediate or advanced vocational training (in a laboratory if possible)Geographical mobility, field work (the job is based in Dublin)General knowledge of testing for the study and control of construction plantsKnowledge of occupational risk prevention, especially in the field of constructionUser-level knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.Minimum B2 level English.If you consider yourself a curious person with high aspirations and an adventurous spirit, then the opportunities we offer at Sacyr are for you.In our commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace, having a disability certificate of more than 33% will be viewed positively.What do we offer you?Personal and professional development through continuous training programmes, internal and international mobility opportunities, volunteering and healthy lifestyle habits.Be part of a dynamic work environment where we are guided by three principles: collaborative intelligence, excellence and comprehensive social responsibility.At Sacyr, we are committed to diversity and inclusion.
