We have an opportunity for a Strategic Finance Manager / Business Partner to drive global strategic impact by partnering directly with the CFO influencing high-level decisions, shaping commercial strategy, and leading critical initiatives across a growing international business.
The candidate must be based in South-East Ireland. This is a remote role but may need to travel to site on occasion.
Reporting to the Global CFO, the Strategic Finance Manager will play a key role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making across the organization. The position will focus on partnering with senior stakeholders across the business, with a particular emphasis on supporting the commercial teams to drive sustainable growth in the business. The role will also work closely with the Group CFO on strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects, delivering high-quality financial insights and analysis to enable informed business decisions. A key aspect of the role will be to bring analytical, commercial, and strategic insights to drive performance and value creation.
Key responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, budget/forecast management, and supporting key business decisions through financial modeling, reporting, and scenario planning.
Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic finance business parter to Executive leadership teams, providing financial guidance and commercial insight, with a particular emphasis on supporting the EMEAI region.
Monitor and evaluate business performance, providing recommendations to optimize revenue, margin and cashflow.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and accurate financial projections.
Drive continuous improvement in financial planning and reporting processes, sharing best practices and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and insight generation.
Collaborate with the Group CFO on strategic initiatives and projects, including M&A, investment appraisals, and long-term planning.
Identify, prioritize, and drive critical global initiatives that support sustainable growth, efficiency and resilience.
Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements.
Continuously find opportunities to improve key controls and streamline processes, automating and innovating where possible.
Leverage data analytics to support the business strategy, including assessment of business segments, operations, market opportunities, and resource allocation to optimize growth and profitability.
Translate external trends, macro forces and competitive dynamics into actionable strategies.
Prepare and deliver high-quality materials, insights and recommendations for executive leadership and board-level discussions.
Skills & Experience
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar related field - essential
A minimum of 5+ years’ post qualified experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance or strategic finance roles, preferably in a global manufacturing environment - essential
Finance business partnering experience in a similar role is preferred with strong technical and analytical accounting skills - preferred
Strong systems knowledge including advanced Microsoft Excel, data visualization (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), and ERP (e.g. SAP) experience - essential
Strong grasp of financial concepts (e.g. budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, financial models & metrics) and ability to partner with finance teams to interpret data and build business cases.
Ability to structure/present compelling stories to support decision making. Use data, analytics and insights to corroborate opinions.
Strong work ethic and very comfortable working in an ‘unstructured’, consultative setting, with a focus on value creation.
Preferred Skills & Experience - highly advantageous
Big 4/Tier 2 experience within manufacturing.
Experience in a multinational organization.
Knowledge of Adaptive Insights/Workday (consolidations) and PowerBI (business intelligence) or similar applications.
Language skills a plus, Chinese a distinct advantage.
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, ethics and integrity
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and issues simultaneously with strong analytical & problem solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail, well organized and logical decision maker
Strong interpersonal skills; effectively communicating and collaborating across teams and functions

While this remote will be predominantly remote in the South-East of Ireland, they will be a requirement to travel on an ad hoc basis, to a location in the South-East (to be confirmed)
