Full Job Description Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (PCF Role)
Location: South Dublin
Abrivia are exclusively retained by our client to recruit a Chief Executive Officer for their Irish entity, based in South Dublin.
This is a senior leadership role within the Irish business of an established international brand, operating as part of a wider global group and authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland.
The Irish business has a headcount of over 85 and enjoys strong client relationships and brand recognition locally.
The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team and ensure the continued commercial, operational, and regulatory success of the business.
The focus of the role is firmly on the retention and development of the existing Irish business, while also working with group colleagues to assess opportunities for new product launches suited to the local market.
This is a Pre-Approval Controlled Function (PCF) role and will require Central Bank of Ireland approval.
Your Role: Provide strong leadership to the senior management team (7 direct reports), ensuring commercial, operational, and compliance objectives are consistently achieved.
Act as the key senior representative for the Irish entity, reporting directly to the Group Chairman and engaging with Group stakeholders on strategic direction and performance.
Serve as Executive Director on the Irish Board and take ownership of governance, regulatory engagement, and internal decision-making processes.
Maintain and strengthen long-term commercial relationships with key clients, with a strong focus on retention and service excellence.
Represent the business externally through relevant industry forums and events, raising visibility and continuing to position the brand as a trusted market leader.
Collaborate with Group leadership on the assessment and potential introduction of new product offerings relevant to the Irish market.
Partner with the CFO to ensure robust financial oversight, including budgeting, performance tracking, and risk management.
Uphold high standards of corporate governance in line with regulatory and Group expectations.
Your Skills: Proven senior leadership experience, ideally as a CEO or MD in a regulated or multinational environment.
Demonstrated experience managing a business of similar scale, with strong operational and commercial oversight.
People-focused leadership style with the ability to engage, motivate, and retain senior talent.
Comfortable operating within a Group structure and managing relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience engaging with Boards, regulatory bodies, and senior external stakeholders.
Prior experience in a PCF or similarly regulated role is preferred.
Excellent communicator with sound judgment and a high level of integrity.
Third-level qualification or relevant professional credentials required.
