Role Profile
We are seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel, reporting to the General Counsel, based at our Head Office in Abbey Quarter, Kilkenny, or our Dublin office in Citywest. The role involves supervising Company Secretariat filings and compliance, advising on a broad range of legal issues in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage Company Secretariat filings and compliance for Irish and international matters.
* Evaluate intellectual property activities, including new developments and trade mark proposals; advise on ownership, use, and infringement issues.
* Handle data protection queries, including data subject access requests, data breaches, and data processing agreements.
* Advise on corporate legal matters such as shareholder issues, regulatory compliance, and assist with policy updates and training materials.
* Review commercial leases and collaborate with Property Portfolio Manager and external advisors on legal matters related to property.
* Coordinate and execute legal documents, prepare meeting documents, and manage the legal team’s case management system.
Requirements
* Third-level Law or Business degree.
* Professional qualification (Solicitor or equivalent).
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a qualified solicitor, in-house or in a law firm.
* Experience with company secretariat services, either in-house or in a law firm.
* Knowledge of intellectual property law, data protection law, and commercial property law.
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Broad understanding of business operations and relationships.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and approach issues systematically.
* Adaptability to fast-paced, innovative environments.
