Our client, Joulen is at the forefront of innovation in the renewable energy industry, leveraging technology to revolutionise how energy is produced, stored and utilised. The business has experienced significant success to date and are entering a critical growth phase—expanding into new markets, scaling our commercial model and establishing Joulen as a leading provider of energy flexibility and optimisation services across Europe.



The Opportunity



This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for driving revenue growth, closing high-value deals and building a repeatable, high-performing go-to-market function.



You will work closely with the CRO and leadership team, shaping how Joulen commercialises its technology, enters new markets and builds long-term strategic partnerships.



You will be responsible for:



Defining and delivering Joulen’s sales and revenue strategy across the UK, Ireland and continental Europe

Personally leading and closing complex, high-value commercial deals (£1m+)

Own the full sales lifecycle—from pipeline development to contract negotiation and handover

Developing pricing, packaging and positioning aligned to customer needs and market dynamics

Building and embedding scalable sales processes, methodologies and forecasting discipline

Recruiting, leading and mentoring a high-performing sales team as the business scales

Acting as the voice of the customer internally, influencing product and go-to-market decisions

Contributing to board-level planning, investor reporting and long-term growth strategy.



This is an exceptional opportunity for commercially astute, credible sales leader with experience operating in complex, regulated or infrastructure-heavy environments. You thrive in scale-up settings and enjoy building structure, momentum and teams from the ground up. We would like you to be able to demonstrate:



10+ years of experience in B2B sales roles, including senior leadership within high-growth software, energy, infrastructure, or trading-related sectors

A proven track record of closing complex, multi-party deals valued at £1m+

Experience in energy, software, infrastructure, trading or adjacent regulated sectors

Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, procurement and contracting

Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, boards and investors

A data-driven, strategic mindset with excellent negotiation and communication skills

Passion for the energy transition and building something with long-term impact
