Founded in 2006, DRA Consulting Engineers are an established firm of Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers & Project Managers with offices in Dublin, Limerick and Wexford. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a project civil & structural engineer with career ambitions to become a Chartered Engineer for our Wexford office which is led by Associate Director & Chartered Engineer, Brian Healy.
DRA Consulting Engineers provide services to both private & public sector clients with an emphasis on economical design, sustainability and a client focused approach. Our projects portfolio includes residential, commercial, educational, conservation, sports & leisure and civil engineering infrastructure developments. We also have particular expertise and experience in civil & structural engineering, project management, high-rise construction, conservation engineering, BIM & ISO 19650:2, construction law & contract administration. Role Description
The role will involve the following:
Civil & structural engineering design and project management.
Building and leading a team of engineers / technicians to deliver projects in Wexford area.
Business development and developing / maintaining client & industry colleague relationships.
Knowledge & expertise in design software including Revit, AutoCAD, Robot, Tedds, Causeway (drainage) and ISO 19650:2 (BIM) protocols.
Administration & project management of projects.
Mentoring & supervision of graduate / design engineers & technicians.
Liaising with clients, design team members and other members of staff.
Reporting to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements in terms of skills and attributes:
An honours degree in civil or structural engineering.
Minimum of 5 years (Senior Eng) experience in the field of consulting civil & structural engineering.
Be a chartered member of Engineers Ireland or the Institute of Structural Engineers.
Competent in the use of design, modelling & detailing software (e.g. Robot, Revit, Civils 3D, Autocad)
Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and development of design solutions.
Self-motivated and career focused.
Leadership and good mentoring abilities.
