As a fast growing established retailer, they are looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our store and assist in leading a dedicated team.
What They Offer: Competitive salary and incentives Generous employee discount Opportunity for career growth and development Education opportunities A dynamic and support work environment Employee Assistance Programme 20 days annual leave Cycle to Work scheme Key Responsibilities: Lead and motivate the team to achieve and exceed sales targets Oversee store operations, including stock control, merchandising, workflows and store presentation Manage store budgets and achieve financial goals, including sales targets, payroll budgets and cost control Monitor and manage staff performance, conducting probation reviews, regular training sessions, appraisals and development plans Ensure that all health and safety standards and company policies are followed Maintain a positive and motivating store environment with a can do attitude, fostering team work and collaboration Handle administrative tasks such as reports, rotas, payroll and inventory management Experience: Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar retail leadership role ideally in a FMCG/Big Box retail setting Strong understanding of retail operations, sales and customer service excellence Excellent leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A passion for customer service and delivering an outstanding shopping experience Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to drive sales and meet KPIs Exceptional communication, organisational and problem solving skills Proactive and results driven with a hands on approach Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
