Overview
Maxi Zoo is part of the Fressnapf Group, the European market leader in pet products with 2,600 shops across Europe. Maxi Zoo is Ireland’s largest pet retailer and has over 30 shops in Ireland. We are seeking a full-time qualified Groomer for our Mullingar Store.
Responsibilities
* Consultation — Communicate effectively with pet owners and provide advice and recommendations on related products and grooming services.
* Customer Engagement — Provide excellent customer service and deliver high-standard grooms.
* Follow-Up and Follow-Through — Follow up with customers after grooming appointments to ensure satisfaction and address feedback or concerns.
* Sanitization and Cleanliness — Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, disinfect equipment, wash towels and tools, and ensure a safe environment for dogs and staff.
* Product Knowledge — Promote grooming services and provide expert product recommendations.
* Demonstrate a professional attitude and build trust with pet parents; manage time to prioritize tasks and meet established timeframes.
What you will bring
* Fully flexible across 5 days, a full-time role which includes weekends.
* Previous hands-on experience in a grooming salon and/or QQI Level 6 Dog Grooming/City & Guilds.
* Proficient in all aspects of grooming and clipping all dog breeds to a high standard.
* Excellent communication with salon customers and the grooming team.
* Strong time management and the ability to work independently while learning from qualified groomers.
* A passion for animals and comfort around all breeds of dogs.
* Long-term interest in developing a career in grooming.
