Role Requirements Role requirement 1 Data analysis and reportingAnswer queries from the Department of Children, Disability and Equality (DCDE) using programmatic data.Prepare regular reports and dashboards using programmatic data to inform Departmental and internal audiences. Contribute to the preparation of Board/ Department reports and answering Funder and Oireachtas Queries. Work with programme team members across Pobal to scope and develop new ways of mining existing datasets to support policy and operations. Automate regular reports and dashboards to reduce manual processing and decrease a risk of human error. Role requirement 2 Programme monitoring Work with Early Years Operations Teams to define indicators to measure operational activity, progress and effectiveness. Develop reporting procedures to ensure that business processes are underpinned by data. Define parameters of monitoring and reporting systems for data collection on programmes. Work with EY Operations teams and Data Analytics to define and implement data quality rules and metrics across programmes. Contribute to the development of documentation and standards for programme monitoring and data governance, when required. Role requirement 3ResearchCo-ordinate and conduct research and analysis projects arising from the agreed Pobal/ DCDE programme of work.Develop frameworks and models to estimate the demand for childcare places across programmes and monitor trends against these estimations. Assist internal teams with future planning of their resourcing needs based on estimated demand for places on specific programmes. Role requirement 4 Support to other unitsLiaise with Operations Teams where data quality issues are identified and for providing direction on better data management.Support Early Years Operations Teams by collating programme and business data and conducting analysis to provide business intelligence to Early Years Operations Teams. Support Pobal's management teams concerning provision of data and analysis for early years programmes and business operations. Provide support to Liaison Executive (Funder Liaison Unit) on detail of programme data.Required Experience3 years minimum in a similar roleExperience in business data analysis, including gathering reporting requirements, data mining, analysis and data modelling design using data collected from multiple systems (e.g. internal databases, Data Warehouse, other datasets) Experience in developing reports and dashboards in relevant BI tools, such as PowerBIKnowledge of R, SQL and databases Knowledge and experience of performance monitoring systems, such as CRM Strong communication and interpersonal skills Evidence of the production of high-quality reports or written materials Proficient in MS packages e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, programme databases, SharePoint portalsQualifications Relevant Third Level qualification (e.g., Degree) equivalent is essentialDesirable Skills & KnowledgeKnowledge of statisticsKnowledge of workings of the Early Years/community/voluntary/public sectorView Full Job Description here.
