Overview
An established accountancy practice in Kerry is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping and payroll services for a portfolio of clients. This role requires strong technical skills, practice experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain accurate financial records across multiple client accounts
2. Process bank reconciliations, invoices, and journals
3. Prepare VAT returns and process payroll
4. Assist with management accounts and year-end preparation
5. Liaise with clients to resolve queries and gather documentation
6. Work with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Requirements
7. 3+ years' experience in a practice-based bookkeeping role
8. Strong knowledge of Irish VAT, payroll, and bookkeeping standards
9. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
10. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
