The Role:
Entrust Services is a well-established planning and environmental consultancy founded in 2008, specialising in infrastructure projects across renewable energy, wireless telecommunications, and wider environmental services. We operate across Ireland and the UK, with offices in Galway and Liverpool. We are expanding our technical team and is seeking a motivated CAD/ GIS Technician to support the delivery of planning and technical drawings for renewable energy and telecommunications projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to develop hands-on experience in a fast-growing technical consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of planning and technical drawings for renewable energy and telecom projects
* Support senior engineers with site layouts, elevations, sections, and construction drawings
* Prepare photomontages, basic 3D models, and visualisations where required
* Carry out site assessments, measurements, and data review
* Update drawings based on client, planner, or internal feedback
* Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards, guidelines, and planning requirements
* Maintain organised project files and documentation
* Work collaboratively with the technical team to meet project deadlines
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (essential)
* Familiarity with 3D software (SketchUp, Revit, or similar) is an advantage
* Understanding of planning drawings and technical documentation is desirable
* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Experience or interest in renewable energy or telecom projects
* Knowledge of Irish planning standards
* Basic experience with GIS tools
