About the Role:
To manage and coordinate the design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities associated with the on-site Mechanical, Electrical, and Process upgrade works at the Wastewater Treatment facility in the North East.
Minimum of 5 years' experience and suitable qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering and/or Environmental Engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management, supervision, and coordination of a team of engineers, safety personnel, and M&E installation personnel.
2. Representing the project's interests at client meetings & participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings.
3. Management of the on-site PSDP & PSCS duties and responsibilities.
4. Develop and encourage a culture of innovation and initiative regarding HSQE matters. Embrace fundamentals of Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation, and Collaboration.
5. Management of site documentation: signage, audits, method statements, reports, and site subcontractor documentation.
6. Construction planning & scheduling.
7. Procurement and expediting of materials & equipment.
8. Project cost review and reporting.
9. Research and suggest options on construction means, methods, and equipment.
10. Project closeout, including handover of the completed safety file.
11. Prepare progress and technical reports for clients and internal use.
12. Timeline planning from contract award to completion and handover, including overseeing commissioning & validation of plant and systems.
13. Management of EPS performance against contractual KPIs.
14. Manage daily communications and documentation with the ER and site RE staff, fostering a team environment through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
15. Coordination & preparation of handover, testing, commissioning, and process proving documentation.
16. Coordination of Environmental & Ecology requirements.
17. Update work programmes weekly and monthly as required.
Key Competencies and Skills:
* Proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office and Project software is advantageous.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry.
* Interest in implementing opportunities and initiatives within time-restricted schedules.
* Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
* Third-level Mechanical or Environmental Engineering degree.
* Relevant third-level qualification and experience will also be considered.
* Full EU/Irish driving license.
